Meet the Secretariat
ALLAN HOFFMAN
Co-Secretary General
Allan is in his first year at the McGill University Faculty of Law, completing a Bachelor of Civil Law and a Juris Doctor. This will be his fifth year at JCYMUN and second year on the Secretariat, his first co-managing the conference as Secretary General. In his free time, Allan enjoys watching soccer, researching JCYMUN's past, and working on his family tree. Allan is very excited for all of the delegates to join us for our 26th annual conference!
DAVID BIRNBAUM
Head of Committes
David is in his first year at McGill university studying Med-P. This will be his fourth year at JCYMUN and his first year as part of the secretariat. His hobbies include playing the piano, bouldering, and listening to music. He is very excited to see everyone’s hard work come to life at JCYMUN 2025!
EZRA GROSSMAN
Co-Secretary General
Ezra is a student of Mechanical Engineering at McGill University. He has been a part of JCYMUN for six years, and this is his first year co-managing the conference as a Secretary General. While not studying in a politics or law-adjacent field, Ezra's years of JCYMUN experience have given him mastery in smashing gavels on desks, a skill he hopes will translate to his major. When he has free time, Ezra can be seen studying, cooking, rewatching the same shows 17 times or stressing about football results every week.
LEORA LOHNER
Head Chair
Hey everyone! My name is Leora and I’m this year’s head chair! I’ve been involved with JCYMUN for the past 6 years and I’m so excited to be back this year and part of the secretariat team. I’m currently studying engineering at Mcgill, but when I’m not adding up vectors, I love playing sports and hanging out with my friends and family. So excited to see you all the at conference!!
LIVIA MAMANE
CRISIS Director
Livia is in her second year at Dawson College, studying Health Sciences. This will be her fourth year being a part of JCYMUN, having been a delegate for two years and a Crisis staff member in 2025, before joining the Secretariat. In her free time, Livia enjoys bugging Chewy, her bird, as well as reading, writing, watching movies, listening to great music, and going on walks. She is very excited for Crisis 2026 and to meet all of the delegates!
ANDREA OUAZANA
Director of Operations
Meet Andrea Ouazana! This is her fifth year doing JCYMUN, she spent one year as a delegate, two years as crisis staff and two years as logistics staff. This is year she will be Head of Logistics. During her free time Andrea likes to listen to music, spend time with her friends and travel. She is super excited to meet for this years conference and to meet all our new delegates.
SOFI AGINSKY
Director of Communications
Hello everyone! I am studying at McGill University in the Psychology Faculty. I had the utmost pleasure of being a committee chair last year and an even bigger honour to be part of the 2025-2026 Secretariat Team! One of my favourite hobbies is talking to and meeting new people and so I’m very excited to step into my new role as Director of Communications. I am excited to meet you all!
SAM BENCHAYA
Director of Delegate Affairs
I’m currently studying Health Sciences at Vanier College. I’ve been involved in Model UN for two years as a delegate, and this is my second year as a staff member at JCYMUN. I really enjoy how JCYMUN brings people together through debate and collaboration. Outside of school, I love playing sports, spending time with friends, and listening to music. I’m excited to be part of this year’s conference and can’t wait to see all the delegates in action!
