The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN WOMEN) is an entity of the United Nations dedicated to empowering women and achieving gender equality on a global scale. UN Women works with governments and civilians in UN Member States to create laws, policies, and programs that benefit women and girls worldwide as well as services needed to ensure that these policies are effectively implemented.
