World Trade Organization

The World Trade Organization, or WTO, is an intergovernmental organization that regulates and facilitates international trade between nations. It was founded in 1995 and provides a framework for countries to negotiate trade deals. It also functions as a platform to resolve trade disputes and breaches of trade agreements.
